Kristen has done so many things that have gone unnoticed.

There was a patient who had a rare lung condition, and the medication she needed was prior authorized. Somehow it ended up in Kristen’s lap. She investigated and never gave up until it was authorized.

I feel like, thanks to Kristen’s diligence, she saved this woman’s life. There was no reason that Kristen should have gotten this, but she did and knew the importance and got it done.

Kristen’s saying is, “We are not here to make friends; we are here to advocate for our patients.” And that is what she does. That is our saying in case management and a saying I have adopted and have stressed to my daughters who are in nursing school.

Kristen has made house calls, picked up medications for patients, and delivered them. She goes above and beyond; she is truly a nursing superwoman.

She loves learning new things, wishes she had her RN, but works to the most efficient ability as an LPN. She loves teaching what she learns to improve patient care across the board: from closing gaps, keeping and scheduling appointments, diabetes and blood pressure education, to scanning documents to the right place in the EMR.

She is just fantastic.
