There is nothing scarier than moving to a new state at six months pregnant and having to switch care teams. Well, there is something scarier: walking into your very first appointment and being told your baby's heart rate is dangerously low.

Thankfully, it turned out to be something minor that just needed to be monitored over time. But in those early days, the fear and uncertainty were overwhelming. Each week, I went in for heart monitoring. That's when I met Trixie Madory.

Trixie has the kind of presence that immediately puts you at ease. She can brighten any room with her warmth and positivity. In a season filled with anxiety, she became a steady source of comfort.

You don't always get the same nurse at every appointment, so when I didn't see her for a while, I figured she might not even remember me. I am so incredibly grateful for nurses like Trixie, who genuinely love what they do and show up fully for their patients, especially during the most joyful and sometimes most difficult moments of pregnancy.
