Today, we have the privilege of recognizing an extraordinary nurse for the DAISY award. Lea Leung received 7 heartfelt nominations in recognition of her compassion, dedication, and excellence. Lea was described as “Very kind, concerned, attentive to details, and responsive to patient calls and needs.” It was said, “Because of your smile, you make life more beautiful.”

Another patient wrote, “It was the little things she did that would brighten up my day. Thank you, Lea, for being such a sweet and caring nurse.”

A patient’s family wrote, “What stood out the most was that she always followed through; everything that she said she would do, she actually did. Her kindness and compassion went far above and beyond what we could have hoped for, and her professional expertise gave us great confidence that my mom was in excellent hands. Lea made a difficult situation so much easier.”
