When I arrived, David wheeled my dad out to me so I did not have to enter the hospital again and gave me a hug (he could tell I needed one).
My dad arrived via ambulance at our downtown location with stroke-like symptoms. David Catone was his RN, and the energy was immediately comforting and compassionate.

About an hour into us being here, I received a call from my aunt (my dad's sister) that I needed to get to our North location immediately. I stepped out of my dad's room (I didn't want to alarm him in his condition). When I stepped outside the door, I asked my aunt what was going on, and she then told me my Poppa (my dad's father) had passed at our North location after choking on his dinner. David Catone was sitting directly in front of my dad's door, which I was standing outside of at this point. I immediately walked down the hall and lost it (hoping I was out of earshot from my dad).

David immediately came to see if I was ok, asking if I was ok and what he could do. After he calmed me down and I told him, he accompanied me back to my dad's room so I wasn't alone and helped me gather my things. I let my dad know that I needed to run and check on something and would be back. I did not want to alarm my dad at this point due to his condition. David understood my wishes and respected them.

I went to North to be with my family and say goodbye to my Poppa. Hours had gone by, and my dad kept calling my phone. Eventually, he called, and my aunt picked up my phone to make sure he was ok. My dad informed her that he was being discharged, no stroke, and asked that I come back and get him. My dad knew something was wrong and insisted my aunt tell him before I got back. My aunt told my dad before I could get back to him, and while I was en route, David kept my dad together also.

When I arrived, David wheeled my dad out to me so I did not have to enter the hospital again and gave me a hug (he could tell I needed one). Not only did he take phenomenal care of my dad, but he also took amazing care of me and went beyond his call of duty in every way. I have not been able to get David off of my mind since that night. Without his care and compassion, things could have been very different.
