I would love for Kaitlyn to be recognized as the amazing nurse that she is. Kaitlyn first joined our team as a TTP student only a few years ago. In such a short amount of time, she has grown into a confident, compassionate, and highly skilled nurse. I have seen Kaitlyn consistently go above and beyond for her patients, their families, and our team. One moment that stands out is when she threw a birthday party for her patient. She decorated the room, coordinated with the family to cater Red Lobster (the patient's request), and purchased a cake. She arranged for all the nurses working that day to sing happy birthday. The patient told me it was the best birthday in all his 96 years. Kaitlyn is also the best team member. Her time management skills are top-notch. After getting all her patients settled, she consistently checks in with others and lends a helping hand. It has been incredible to watch her grow in such a short amount of time into the nurse she is today. Kaitlyn truly represents the heart of the DAISY Award, and our team is lucky to have her.
