Jennifer is so much more than a preceptor or coworker to me. She has been a mentor from the very beginning.

Starting out in this field can be overwhelming, but Jennifer made my transition easier with her patience, guidance, and support. She consistently believed in me, even during the moments when I doubted myself, and her encouragement gave me the confidence to keep growing.

On my hardest days, Jennifer is always there to lift me up. She has a way of reminding those around her that it's okay to have difficult moments and that tomorrow brings a new opportunity to try again.

One of my favorite things about Jennifer is her compassion for her patients and their families. I have witnessed her sit beside a mother experiencing the loss of a child, holding her hand and offering comfort and stability when her world was falling apart.

Jennifer embodies everything the DAISY Award represents. She is the kind of nurse who leaves a lasting impact not only on her patients, but also on those fortunate enough to work alongside her.

I can only hope that one day I will become even half the nurse she is.
