It is rare, I believe, to find anyone who can maintain such a long career with the grace, intelligence, and good cheer that you will see in Lisa Aldridge, RN.
Lisa Aldridge has built relationships with coworkers, physicians, and patients over 40 years of nursing (as of May 2026). She has been with Dr. B throughout the past 38 years of his oncology practice. Her career longevity and resilience have created an incredibly steady and reliable resource in our SSM Health oncology service line.

Lisa has held her own oncology-specific training and certifications throughout her career, including the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certificate and the ONCC's Oncology Certified Nurse. She has been an advocate and mentor for other nurses to pursue advanced certifications as well.

Lisa has worked tirelessly to advocate for her long-distance hematology and oncology patients over her years with Dr. B. For many years, he was the only hematology oncologist available to rural patients in western Oklahoma, and she would coordinate their care both locally for them and here in the metro if they needed more advanced interventions. Simply off the top of her head, Lisa often knows exactly who to contact to coordinate SSM St. Anthony's-based care for her widespread group of patients, often ensuring coordinated visits and treatments as well as collaborating with rural providers to save long trips when possible.

Lisa has shown accountability by closely monitoring quality and safety metrics, identifying gaps in care, and taking corrective action. This included addressing delays in care coordination, communicating transparently with providers and patients, and tracking outcomes until resolution was achieved. Through consistent documentation, timely communication, and self-reflection, the nominee ensures that commitments are met and outcomes align with best practices and organizational standards.

Lisa demonstrates leadership by consistently embedding our Mission into team interactions, departmental initiatives, and community engagement. They lead with compassion and integrity, support collaboration across disciplines, and advocate for patient‑centered care. Through mentorship, process improvement, and outreach efforts, Lisa advances our Mission while positively influencing both colleagues and the community.

I would challenge anyone to follow Lisa for a day. You'll find yourself learning, laughing, and loving on patients along with her. She has been a daily support to one of SSM Health's most experienced physicians for over 38 years. I would say that is a relationship to be applauded and celebrated. Lisa is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who has used her position as a Registered Oncology Nurse to support her beautiful family as well as minister into the lives of her patients and their families. Her patients know her name and trust her to take care of the most serious and frightening health issues they are facing.

It is rare, I believe, to find anyone who can maintain such a long career with the grace, intelligence, and good cheer that you will see in Lisa Aldridge, RN.

It is an honor to serve our patients with her, shoulder to shoulder and day to day. She is a blessing to our ministry.
