Our daughter has been at Centennial for the past five weeks battling bacterial meningitis. During this time, we've come to know so many members of the staff, and we are genuinely grateful for the care and compassion each of them has shown.

Blake, one of the daytime nurses, has truly stood out. He cares for her as if she were his own. Even on her hardest days, his calm presence and gentle voice have been able to soothe her in moments when nothing else could.

During one of his shifts, she experienced a seizure. Blake responded immediately; focused, compassionate, and reassuring. Not only in caring for her but also in supporting us as parents through a frightening moment. His concern for her was clear in everything he did.

He was also there after her MRI, when we received the difficult news that she had three brain abscesses. Despite how heavy that day was, Blake made a point to check in on us, offering reassurance and kindness when we needed it most.

Being in the hospital for such an extended time can feel isolating, but Blake has a remarkable ability to connect with both his patients and their families. His calm nature, empathy, and steady support have meant more to us than we can fully express. We are deeply thankful for the care he has given her and for the comfort he has brought to our family during this incredibly challenging time.
