He was very empathetic and showed a sensitive sense of humor as well.
My husband had an outpatient procedure at Good Samaritan. There was a complication that caused it to last quite a bit longer, so he was admitted just for the night. We got to the room late in the afternoon, and Kory spent so much time with us, certainly much more than expected. We have spent so much time in hospitals over the last eight months. First, Sepsis led to septic shock and serious endocarditis. Two months later, he suffered a serious stroke, putting him in a wheelchair, unable to walk or stand. Three months after that, during stroke physical therapy, he suffered a near-fatal ventricular tachycardic episode. Kory listened intently to every detail of all these events and showed genuine care and concern. He was very empathetic and showed a sensitive sense of humor as well. We were sorry to see him go home around 7:30, but he said he'd see us the next morning. We were so disappointed when he was moved to a different area that morning. We've probably had nearly 100 different nurses across several hospitals in the last few months, and Kory stands out as one of the very best, even though it was only a one-night stay.
