Nurse Eslam has been an exceptional part of my daughter’s care during her treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in the oncology ward. Throughout a very difficult journey for our family, he consistently showed not only strong clinical skills but also genuine compassion and humanity.
One moment that truly stood out happened during one of my daughter’s chemotherapy sessions. She was extremely anxious, tired, and refusing her medication. It was a very overwhelming time for her, and nothing we said could calm her down. Nurse Eslam approached her gently, sat beside her, and started speaking to her in a calm and friendly way.
He didn’t rush or force anything. Instead, he took the time to listen to her fears. He then used a simple but powerful approach: he explained the treatment in a way she could understand, even making small jokes to make her smile. He stayed with her longer than expected, reassuring her until she felt safe enough to continue. Because of his patience and kindness, she eventually agreed to take her medication without distress.
