Maddie is a wonderful nurse who has made my stay here as pleasant as it can be. I never have to ask for anything. She is constantly checking on me to see what I may need. She always has a smile on her face.

She is exceptional at keeping me posted on what to expect each day and communicating any questions or concerns I have with my care team. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. While everyone here has made my stay easier on me, Maddie has gone above and beyond to make sure I’m comfortable and to keep me informed. Her pleasant nature and great sense of humor, along with her compassion, make her an asset to the hospital and a gift to her patients.

When I see she is working, I feel so relieved. Being in the hospital and not knowing what is going to happen is very stressful and causes anxiety. I already have anxiety, so it’s nice to have a nurse like Maddie to calm that anxiety just by being so calm and so compassionate. I feel Maddie encompasses all of the traits of a DAISY Honoree. She’s a treasure.
