I can’t thank you enough! You changed the way I look at my health, life, and future.
I can’t begin to tell you how you changed- not just me being comfortable here, but how I looked at my care. I was born with this super rare and difficult disease. You didn’t treat me any differently and never asked me lots of things like I was a science project. I was ready to leave A.M.A until you showed up like a ray of sunshine with a huge smile.

You were always forward-thinking, like knowing when my pain was bad, and you got the fan and heating pad, made sure I had plenty of ice and fluids for my GI cleanse, and cheered me on every time you came into my room. Even when I was throwing up, you jumped in with something on cotton balls that really helped, and I didn’t throw up again.

Whenever plans changed, not only did you let me know, but you pointed out all the positive things about it and moved forward with my care with a great laugh and smile, which was probably the best medicine I had.

To make sure I didn’t forget to ask the right questions to my doctor, you wrote them on the board for me. You even helped me change my room around for my GI cleanse, so I could make it to the bathroom, and if not, you had already ordered wipes and a commode. It was like you could just read my mind, and like you have been a nurse forever. Not to mention you always came in so clean and like you take pride in wearing your scrubs and so well put together. It made me want to listen to my doctors so I could get a plan to feel better and get back to looking better!

When you have been sick and low as I have been for so long, that means the world! You made sure I was well taken care of in a way beyond what I could imagine and unknowingly made me want to get better faster so I could go home just as positive about my future as you are about your job.

I can’t thank you enough! You changed the way I look at my health, life, and future. Keep being you and don’t ever change!
