Sean exemplifies many qualities of a DAISY Award recipient. As someone who asks patients, “Who can I thank for you?” in their discharge rounding, I hear his name a lot.

Just in the last week, Sean has made a significant impact on two of our patients who appeared to be declining. He listens to patients, family, and therapist concerns and communicates these to the right people. Sean is a fierce patient advocate and will work tirelessly to get the rehab patients the care they need. Sean is an extremely skilled and knowledgeable RN, thinking critically and problem-solving with our team on patient cases.

We are so thankful to have Sean on Rehab! Sean has been the nurse who steps up and goes above and beyond to care for his patients. He advocates for his patients, shows he has a passion for what he does, and really listens to their needs.

Sean is such an asset to the rehab floor. It’s evident in his high level of care and patient respect that he is deserving of the DAISY Award. He puts out great effort to make his patients feel like they are still a person and not just a patient. He shows every day that he cares deeply for each patient he works with. Always helpful, truly amazing.
