She didn’t just monitor vitals or administer medications, Lisa held my mom’s hand, spoke to her with dignity and compassion.
I would like to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to someone who made one of the most difficult times in our lives a little more bearable. Lisa was the incredible nurse who cared for my mom in the ICU.

When our family walked into the ICU we were overwhelmed with fear, uncertainty and heartbreak. But in the middle of that storm, Lisa was our calm. She didn’t just monitor vitals or administer medications, Lisa held my mom’s hand, spoke to her with dignity and compassion. You treated her not as a patient in a bed but as a person as someone deeply loved.

Lisa explained things when we didn’t understand. She answered our questions with patience, even when we asked them more than once. Lisa showed kindness on days when we were emotionally exhausted. She offered reassurance when we needed it. The ICU can feel like such a fragile place, balanced between hope and fear. But because of Lisa it also felt human.

Nursing is more than a profession, it’s a calling. It takes intelligence, skill, resilience and a heart big enough to carry the worries of many families at once. Lisa showed us all of that and more.

On behalf of my entire family, thank you Lisa for your dedication, your compassion, and your humanity. We will never forget the care you gave my mom and we will always be grateful for the comfort you gave us. Lisa made a difference and that difference means more than words can truly express. Thank you!
