I had a pre-op appointment. Josie did some blood work, did a Covid test, etc. When she took my blood pressure she said it seemed very high and maybe I should have an EKG. She called my doctor’s office, and the nurse asked if I could come to the office in the morning. Josie asked to speak to Dr. R and told him she would do the EKG and email it to him. Josie was scheduled to be off work but she put my needs ahead of hers. She performed the EKG and emailed it to Dr. R. When he received it, he called Josie to say that she needed to put me in a wheelchair, wheel me to the ER and tell them Dr. R said I was to be admitted immediately. My son was with me. He and Josie wheeled me to the ER and I was admitted. They gave me medication and performed some tests. If I had waited until the next morning to go to my doctor’s office this story might have had a different ending. Josie may have saved my life. I am grateful for the concern and care she showed for me. I feel she is an extraordinary nurse!
