Abbi was so kind to listen to me and we chatted for a second. That was all I really needed at that time and Abbi was there.
My mom was brought to the ED by ambulance. My mom was in very rough shape when we arrived. I walk in and Abbi greeted me with a smile, introduced herself, and explained to me what they were going to do. This was the first time anything like this happened to my mom. Abbi came in and out doing what she needed to do. Every time she came in, she asked me if there was anything she could get me. When mom went for testing, Abbi still came in to check on me. One time she came in and I started to tear up, my daughter's fiancé just passed away suddenly 4 days prior. I was trying to be everywhere for everyone and just could not. Abbi was so kind to listen to me and we chatted for a second. That was all I really needed at that time and Abbi was there. She did not know me. She was just doing her job and she did not have to listen to me or check on me while mom was in testing. Abbi is a fantastic nurse. She was so gentle and kind to Mom. She explained everything she was going to do even though; Mom really was not with it at the time. Abbi could just have shipped us off and moved on, but she was so kind and gentle. I could not have thanked Abbi enough for all the kindness she had shown us.
