Abigail Jindra, RN, BSN
Abigail was my sister’s nurse the day she passed. She stood out from all the other nurses for several reasons.
Quality of work - she arrived on time or a few minutes early for every dose of medication. She gave my sister options in comfort care regarding anxiety meds and her kindness showed.
Empathy - Abigail went so far above and beyond. I needed to know what to expect but my sister didn’t want to know. Abigail took me to a separate room and talked with me for as long as I needed. Her phone continually went off and she chose me in that moment. In a work world where immediate response is expected, I was so grateful for her undivided attention.
At the end of her shift, she made a point to come back in and touch base with me and my mom. She asked to give us a hug and it was so heartfelt. That is a moment I will treasure for the rest of my life. There was a felt difference in how she interacted with us vs. others that can only be summarized by empathy. The others were great. Abigail was just excellent!
