Adam wouldn’t leave for a second and was hands-on throughout the course of the code, from beginning to end.
Adam has received the most DAISY Award nominations in our institution; here are the amazing words his colleagues, patients, and physicians have had to say about him!
My nurse made me feel heard. He helped me through my darkest times in life and having lupus and made me and my family satisfied with the entire hospital stay. He never neglected our needs, he checked on me hourly, any time I pressed the call bell.

Adam and G are the senior nurses that took me under their wing. Any questions that I had, they were able to answer. They helped me integrate into my unit and become comfortable. They would stay late and help me to document.

This team player has been there for me multiple times. One time that stands out the most from all the others is the time he stood by my side on my first code. He wouldn’t leave for a second and was hands-on throughout the course of the code, from beginning to end. He made me and other members of the team there feel supported and confident. He brought the energy we all needed. He does so throughout every shift with every nurse.
***
Adam is an exceptional nurse who has always made meaningful differences in my care. Whenever I see that Adam is the nurse caring for my patients, I automatically know that my patients will receive the best nursing care possible and I will be updated constantly on their status and conditions. Mr. Jiadi’s demonstration of this truly showed when one patient with Down syndrome was scared of the needle that needed to be inserted for access. Adam took his time and really showed me how much he loves his career through his way of comforting someone with disabilities.

I’d like to nominate Adam Jiadi for the amazing care he provided for my father while on 5 north. While my father was sick with Covid, alone and scared without being able to have the support of his children at the bedside, Adam used the mandarin translator and took the time to address all the fears and concerns my father had. As an immigrant to the US, not speaking English, it was a very scary situation for him and he was anxious to be without family. Adam taking the time to meet these needs made my father feel a lot safer and we all knew he was in good hands. He made sure to meet all of my father's hygiene needs which was majorly appreciated. Adam truly cares about his work and you can really see how much he cares to make all of his patients feel taken care of. We appreciated the individualized care. We also appreciated that Adam was able to get the doctor to give us a call that we were really asking for. I know it’s hard for providers to get on the phone but when we can’t be there, the extra effort really makes a world of difference.

Adam is a great and helpful nurse; during my orientation, he helped me with his great knowledge and experience. I never felt like a burden to him whenever I ask him for help because he's always responding with great patience. One time when I was facing a hard time with a family member, Adam came and helped me with the hard situation and it felt so professional, that is something that I will always remember. We were always taught to treat and talk to our patients but never trained or taught how to deal with a family member during a difficult situation. Every time I see Adam on schedule, I feel somehow at ease because I know I have someone I can count on or seek help from. Adam has paid special attention to me as a new graduate nurse since starting on this floor half a year ago. On top of the amazing preceptors I had, Adam was always welcoming and looking out to see if I had questions or needed help. He made me feel comfortable and confident in having a coworker on the floor to rely on. From guiding me through skills that I was unfamiliar with as a new nurse, he now treats me as a fellow coworker and works with me and others to get through the shift as efficiently as possible, while providing the best possible care for our patients. He is an asset as both a nurse to his patients and coworkers to the staff on our floor. Adam is very helpful and insightful. He has helped me put in IVs in patients who are difficult to stick IVs into. He is very knowledgeable.
