Afrah led a Pediatric clinic transformation, creating a friendly environment, providing specialized toys for children with unique needs, and ensuring a safe and engaging experience.
Ms Afrah is a compassionate leader who creates an environment that supports trust, mutual respect, continual professional development for her staff, and ethical behaviors.

She is committed to creating an environment that promotes employee wellness and wellbeing, she established a 'relaxation room' for nurses to enhance nurse wellbeing and promote a positive work environment, this initiative contributed to a happier staff morale and reported decrease of staff burnout upon her unit.

She created a staff gym and will release staff three times a week to continue their physical fitness program.

She is also behind the Yoga class initiative that will be open to the entire organization.

She ensures the nurturing and creation of a smooth pathway for our new graduate nurses by supervising 16 pre-employees for seamless integration to prevent any delays.

Afrah also facilitated training sessions for different departments regarding vaccine entry into the SEHA platform.

Afrah has assisted a large number of employees with their recontracting processes at the employment health clinic ensuring a timely salary distribution.

Afrah has supported staff with their professional development, ensuring staff are able to be mentored and have professional development outside her unit.  She has supported staff in covering positions within the MAGNET office and Nurse Recruitment and Retention Office, as well as releasing a staff twice a week for the past three years to complete their requirements for their master's degree.

Afrah led a Pediatric clinic transformation, creating a friendly environment, providing specialized toys for children with unique needs, and ensuring a safe and engaging experience. She has also created ambient waiting areas for all three departments that she is in charge of, leading to patient satisfaction while awaiting their clinic appointment.

Afrah leads with compassion and treats all who work with her and the patients with love and respect. She looks to lead with empathy and service to do what is right and fair.
