Aimee has been at the forefront of listening/learning/supporting the networks, families, and carers who have experienced these traumas, and expertly understood the sensitivities of each situation
There are many reasons why I wish to nominate Aimee as an outstandingly caring and committed learning disability practitioner. Here are a few: Over the last few weeks, we have had some very complex situations in the nursing team. We have had deaths, abuse cases, and some serious safeguarding cases. Alongside a busy personal caseload of complex people, Aimee has been at the forefront of listening/learning/supporting the networks, families, and carers who have experienced these traumas, and expertly understood the sensitivities of each situation. She has supported and managed her team and inputted critical clinical care and treatment that our service users have needed and advocated relentlessly to get the best possible outcomes. Despite often being affected herself, she has shown true determination and care for all involved. As I say it is difficult to say one thing, she really is a gem.
