I would like to recognize Alba, my nurse who took care of me for several days. Not many nurses have that connection with their patients. Alba treated me as if I was her family member. She never kept me waiting and always made sure I was aware of what was going on with my care. She made sure I was pain-free and comfortable. She advocated for me to make sure she got ahold of the doctors and was on top of what needed to be done. She went above and beyond the days she took care of me. I felt that I was not just another patient but someone special, and that meant a lot.

I was readmitted on Tuesday due to excessive incision leakage post-op due to a right radical nephrectomy had a malignant tumor. How grateful and blessed I am to have had a nurse like Alba. I thank her for her empathy, her skill of being a great nurse, and most of all for being so kind and attentive. I have gone through a lot these past couple of months. Everything happened so fast and complications after surgery really took a hit on me. But Alba made me feel safe and comfortable and truly made me feel better. May the Lord continue to bless her always. Thank you, Alba, for caring.
