Alex was such a great nurse to my 6 yr. old son who came in for abdominal pain. When we were transferred to the floor from the ED, she welcomed my family and me to the floor, she walked and talked us through what would happen throughout the night. We were admitted late to the floor and even past visiting hours she allowed my husband to stay an extra hour to make sure our son was comfortable before he left. She did not rush us but gave us the time we needed. She made my son feel very comfortable, constantly checking in on him and me during our first night.

Working in the medical field and being a mom of a child in the hospital was very uneasy for me, however during our time there she talked with me and we laughed. She made sure the IV was comfortable for G, it was an overall good experience.

Being discharged now, I still talk about the great care we received from her. "Bear Bear" played a major part in this hospital time and everywhere my son went she made sure that he did not leave it behind. On the night of discharge, both nurses came in and gave G a hug and wished him well. Though we lost his bear at the hospital, when I called to follow up she stopped what she was doing to check to see. I truly appreciate the care Alex gave us during this time. It will never be forgotten.
