Aliece Lathbury, RN
Aliece was nominated by a patient. The patient was admitted through the emergency department for a small bowel obstruction. The patient had been diagnosed with stage 3-4 colon cancer in 1999 and has been in and out of several hospitals since. However, the most recent visit came with much trepidation and reluctance as he had never been cared for outside of the area he resided in.
He said, "I have never received the level of care that I received from your hospital, which I did from nurse Aliece, other than from my wife, who is also an RN, during my two-day stay at your fine facility. Aliece is the most compassionate, caring, and highly trained nurse who has ever cared for me in all my years of receiving any and all types of medical care. This is the first time I can honestly say I left a medical facility feeling overwhelmed by the quality of care I received, and hence why, I felt so compelled to share this life-changing experience. Thank you again for the wonderful care!"
