A year ago, my 1-year-old daughter was attacked by a dog, causing her to have a skull fracture and multiple lacerations to her head and face. Allison Allison was so caring and sweet not only to my daughter and me but to everyone who came to our room the week we were there. Not only did she care for my daughter while clocked in, but she also took her love for her job home when she left. My daughter’s hair was matted with dried blood and really needed to be cleaned and brushed. The next morning, Allison came back and brought her own wet brush from her house, set up a mat and towels on the floor, and helped me wash and brush my daughter’s hair. She also was with us our whole stay, switching shifts with another nurse and giving up her day off because she knew my daughter was comfortable and felt safe with her. It’s been a whole year, and I am still so grateful for Allison. I hope she knows the impact she made on my family, and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for making a tough, scary, and stressful time a little better.
