Nomination Story #1
Allison takes pride in her job “ALL THE TIME”. She is professional, compassionate, knowledgeable, caring and understanding. She goes out of her way to make the patient and their family members comfortable.
Allison explains to the patient and family members what she is going to do. She has a very positive attitude and is extremely happy. Allison will talk, sing and joke around with the patient to make them feel more comfortable.
In my mother’s situation we are playing music to help stimulate her and help her be more alert. Allison has downloaded music on her personal “iPhone” and has placed it in my mother’s room for hours and hours so that my mother will have continuous music. She goes above and beyond her job duties for the patient “ALL THE TIME”

For the last six months my friend has been in Kindred. Allison has been a great nurse. She plays her music, talks to her, sings to her and laughs to my friend. My friend responds and recognizes her voice. Allison always asks the family and friends if there is anything else she can get or do. Allison goes above and beyond her job duties. She is very well liked.
She is a great role model and a great asset to Kindred. I feel Allison deserves the DAISY Award.
