Allison the Advocate! Not sure that I can say everything that my heart feels about Ally. Even when her floor is full and her phone is ringing, she makes me feel like we are valuable. She took time to sit down and explain to me pieces of this hospital stay that the team assigned to my daughter's case assured we knew but never communicated. She made sure to get the information back to me promptly that was within her power to do so and would advocate for me to speed up processes that were under someone else's authority/jurisdiction. She took me from feeling powerless (to be stuck in the hospital over the holiday weekend because the health insurance offices were closed) to feeling purposeful. She wasn't just talking to pacify me, but she took action to advocate what would be best for my daughter and our family. She is professional, calm, clear communicator, teacher, caring, compassionate, and able to juggle 100 hats/projects/people while never looking or sounding flustered or hurried. She also wrote on our board check boxes of items needed to be accomplished before dismissal and goals/points of discussion to bring up with the doctors. The most amazing nurse I've ever met skilled/handle lots of hats with making people feel valuable! Rare to find someone who can handle both projects/task and people with excellence!
