I am honored to nominate Alyssa Anderson for the DAISY Award. During the beginning of the pandemic. Alyssa worked by my side as a student nurse. Her passion for patient care was evident even then, and I am not surprised to see how much she has grown since then.

As a nurse in the Neuroscience unit, Alyssa quickly became known for her compassion and dedication to her patients. She always put her patients’ needs first and went out of her way to ensure that they received the best possible care. Whether it was taking extra time to educate patients and families, advocating for their needs, or simply being a listening ear. Alyssa was always there for her patients.

Throughout her journey, she has remained a passionate and dedicated nurse who consistently goes above and beyond for her patients. Her transition to care management has allowed her to further expand her impact and reach, as she now works to ensure that patients receive the appropriate care and resources they need to achieve optimal outcomes. Her ability to navigate the complex healthcare system and advocate for their patients’ needs is a testament to her expertise and dedication. Alyssa embodies our hospital’s core values of integrity, Reverence, and Service to the poor, demonstrating them in her everyday practice.
