Amal’s preceptors’ comments specified her compassion towards her patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff.
Amal displayed a professional attitude throughout the internship period. She has the capability to succeed as an efficient registered nurse. Certainly, Amal will be a great asset to the organization when she joins as a staff evident by her overall clinical rotation performance evaluations.

In addition, Amal always shows enthusiasm to participate in the hospital KPIs such as HAPI and is always willing to promote her knowledge by attending courses from various specialties in nursing. Part of the nursing internship activity requirements is submitting case studies, rotations competencies, timesheets, reflective journals, etc.… and Amal was always the first to submit those requirements on time and even prior.

Amal’s attitude shows high responsibility and accountability in a professional manner and with a very high level of communication; this was evident when she worked with her colleagues on group projects. Since the DAISY Award focuses on care and compassion, Amal’s preceptors’ comments specified her compassion towards her patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff. She cares about her duty to the extent that she has zero absenteeism record, always attending morning handover, and she doesn’t leave her assigned unit before ensuring that proper handover is given to the other nurse. Amal was never given one comment in any aspect, and she will be a great example for future Saudi nurses.
