I have, unfortunately, been in need of services from your Behavioral Health Unit. Your staff on the "senior" side are amazing people and so helpful. My list could go on and on. I was blessed to have Amanda as my nurse several times. What a "standout" on the floor! We were able to have some very enlightening, eye-opening conversations. My needs were met seamlessly both physically and emotionally.
Amanda knows her job and her skills are phenomenal. I never saw a moment whenshe wasn't extremely busy, but she never failed to make time to really hear me and offer her ear.
I had a very specific "issue" and Amanda was very knowledgeable about the situation I was about to embark on and literally lifted a ton of worry and angst from my mind and my heart. That is not an easy task for a person like me, but she did it.
I don't believe we meet people by mistake. God placed Amanda right where I needed her. I thank God and I thank Amanda. You have an absolute keeper of a nurse and she should be an example in your hospital of what nursing is all about. I believe I can say these things and recognize her heart and brain (skills), as I am a nurse of 30 years.
Kudos, Amanda, and may God continue to bless you as you bless those around you and who need you.
