Amanda worked hard to keep a severely ill patient from needing the ICU, essentially providing ICU level care on 3 Med. She demonstrated energy, dedication and nursing skill providing copious IV fluids and numerous medications, heroically resuscitating our patient. He had multiple life-threatening conditions that were difficult to manage on the floor and that kept changing. Despite the challenge, she kept a light heart and joked with the patient, reassuring him, emanating confidence and kindness. Amanda is a great communicator with patients and doctors and is a pleasure to work with.
