Thank you, Amanda, for being that beacon of light we all need when we are going through that tunnel, and thank you for making me understand my feelings and my needs when I didn’t see them myself.
Amanda went above and beyond as my nurse. I've had 7 different nurses while in the hospital. She was quick to respond to any concern. Not only did she provide medical care but her disposition and humor made life feel normal while she was in the room. Amanda is absolutely deserving of recognition!!! Also, she brought my coffee from the cafeteria. A stage. It was a small things that she did that made my life feel normal for 12 hours it was a small things that she did that made my life feel normal for the 12 hour she was my nurse.

My stay at this facility was perfect. Amanda was an EXCELLENT nurse, so sweet and professional, I never went a moment needing a thing and she even let me cry on her shoulder which was above and beyond her job description. I was blessed by having her as my nurse!

My husband received hospital care after his neck surgery. He was in a great deal of pain and received high-quality care. His nurses were attentive, communicative, patient, kind, and informative. As his nervous wife who was unable to stay overnight with him, Amanda was also communicative, patient, kind, assuring, and informative. This helped both he and I feel comfortable and confident that he would continue receiving quality care. The effort in the care he received was definitely worthy of acknowledgment and made such a difference for our family.

I had a nurse named Amanda and I was asking for Dilaudid every time it was able to be given to me. She noticed I was asking for it a lot, and she advised me on the dangers of taking Dilaudid too much. For a second, I was upset because I felt like she needed to do her job and get me what my doctor prescribed for me, and when she explained what these pills do to people, she was trying to help me, not hurt me. As I’m sitting here writing this review, my husband reminded me that a year ago, when I was in the hospital, Amanda was my nurse I didn’t remember her at first but he told me that I got upset with her before for making me wait on my pain meds and I was so upset that I asked to be released. After waiting for 30 minutes for the doctor to release me I left snatched out my IV got up and walked outta the hospital. A nurse called my cell phone 45 minutes later and asked me did I leave and I said yes. I said I got upset because I was denied my pain meds and I wanted them due to my pain level and I was denied them so I took off. “They asked me to come back so they could take my IV out I said my husband's a Medical Assistant. I’m a care nurse and the owner of a home care company, so really, I should’ve recognized the signs of being over-medicated. Even though I’m in the medical field, it doesn’t mean I know everything or that a patient can’t be over-medicating when they are following the doctors' orders. The doctors aren’t with us in the hospital they aren’t interacting with us to see if we look weak or too zoned out or disconnected from reality. That’s what the Nurses are for- Our Healing. Thank you, Amanda, for being that beacon of light we all need when we are going through that tunnel, and thank you for making me understand my feelings and my needs when I didn’t see them myself. Amanda should be gifted a trip to Hawaii or something. She deserves much more than that I could give her so much more, but exactly how much do u give someone for saving your life interacting with her has made me understand the choices I need to make for my life even when I’m not in the hospital and also for the patients that I’ve taken care of when I’m on the job! I believe this is a REASON TO BE RECOGNIZED! Thank you, my children, thank you, my husband, thanks you, and all your future patients, thank you.
