Professor Amy Luckey was nominated for her dedication and commitment to her students and to the Loewenberg College of Nursing. She is praised by her students for her innovative teaching methods, interactive lectures, constructive and personalized feedback, and compassionate personality. One student writes, “Professor Luckey can draw you in at every lecture, and before you know it, two hours have passed, and you are sad that lecture is over. One thing is for sure: you may enter her classroom confused about content, but she is going to do everything she can to make sure you don't leave that way. Professor Luckey keeps an open door policy that pretty much says, "If you need me, I am here." and she very much is."

As a faculty member, she is respected by her colleagues for her professionalism, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. She is a wonderful example of a Nurse Educator and embodies the College’s core values of Caring, Diversity, Integrity, and Leadership in her interactions with students, faculty, and staff. Professor Luckey is recognized as an Extraordinary Nurse Faculty.
