Amy has been my nurse for the past two days of my hospitalization. I am nominating her because she has been much more than a nurse to me. Amy is always on time with my medications. She has never hesitated to ask if there were any needs that were not met that she could improve. Amy is an incredible person and has never made me feel as though she was too busy to spend time caring for me. She deserves recognition because I know that too often the hard work and compassion she displays goes unnoticed.

I have many unique medical conditions and Amy took the time to educate herself on my complaints. She made sure that if I had any fears or tears, I was never alone. She truly understood me, and that matters more than I can express. During my stay on the 7th floor I have received amazing care by the whole team of health care professionals, however, Amy, my nurse, became my friend, my advocate, my trustee, and my true caretaker.
