Mr. D was a tracheostomy patient who was experiencing difficulty with pain in the back of his throat after a procedure. He started to panic and he was breathing rapidly. A code blue was called. Amy supported the patient and talked him down, gave him sedation and pain medication. The patient was transferred to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, but despite the commotion and people, Amy helped the patient focus and told him he was alright. He transferred back to 9K the next day.
