On September 1, 2014 Amy's patient was terminally weaned. No family members were present. They had called in and asked the nurse to hold the phone to his ear to say their goodbyes.
When entering the room, Amy Lowe was holding his hand, playing his favorite country music, and comforting him up until the time of his death. She did not want him to die alone!
