I found myself in a situation where I was stranded at the hospital. Amy was a smiling face. She always was there emotionally to give me moral support and hugs. She brought me coffee from the coffee shop. She was diligent in making sure I had all I needed from the doctors and nursing staff. To see her smiling face and hear her infectious laughter made all this more bearable. I don't think I could've made it through this without her. She would ask to be my nurse and that made me feel special. She was my guardian angel while I was here. After 21 years of nursing here in this hospital, I'm sure she had treated many others with compassion and kindness. She deserves to be recognized for the care she gives to the patients at the hospital.
