Amy exemplifies nursing ICARE values at the core of what we stand for. As an OR nurse, she is dedicated to each and every patient, always going above and beyond to smooth out the flow between the OR and PACU. With so many patients being under general anesthesia, I always know that she will give me the best and most accurate report. Her care is obvious when we receive a patient just out of the OR. She gives us excellent communication with all that is going with surgical flow so as to help us prepare for each patient coming into our PACU.
I have seen so many patients thank her sincerely for the extra support and personal touch she provides. She even will transport our PACU patients, when needed, to make room for more. We all know that when Amy is working, things will go very well for both units, hers and ours. She is dedicated beyond the scope of her role as an OR RN. Amy gives 150% every time she works.
