I was admitted to the hospital in September. I was blessed to have my nurse Ancy. This hospital stay was an extremely stressful situation for me as the patient and for my family. My first night presented many challenges for me. Ancy listened to my concerns and with her gentle touch and kind demeanor reassured me all would be alright. I was not happy with the doctor's course of treatment and felt it wasn't best for my situation. Ancy listened with empathy to my concerns and without saying a word to me, went to my doctor to advocate on my behalf. With her doing this, my doctor came to speak to me (the second time) about my concerns but unlike the first visit, she listened to me. Even my doctor commented on the level of care and concern Ancy had for me as a patient. She saw me as a whole person and took that into consideration when she sought out the best care possible for me as her patient. At each shift change, she took the time to introduce me to the staff, relay to them any concerns I was having, and to leave me feeling at ease during this transition. She is a true blessing to your staff. I hope all patients in your care are as blessed to have a nurse of her magnitude caring for them.
