My daughter went into labor at 31 ½ weeks. As a resident of Fort Drum, NY, St. Joseph's Health was a considerable drive for someone with ruptured membranes. However, St. Joseph's was the perfect hospital for her and her baby. All of the nurses on L & D were amazing! The compassion, skill set, and unbelievable patient care were given to both mom and baby.
Andrea Irvine was our daughter's night nurse, and she was our saving grace. Andrea was professional, caring, empathetic, patient, she interacted with all shift nurses, and she treated our entire family as well as my daughter and her baby in the most loving manner. I was not present for the actual delivery, but my daughter said, "Mom, don't worry, Andrea is here and she will take care of me like you would." Amazing!
