Andrew took care of my partner during her stay in ICTU at Rhode Island Hospital - She had a 4 vessel CABG and valve replacement and had been in the OR for 12 hrs. After her ICU stay, she was transferred to intermediate care. She was still very ill and unstable. Andrew’s command of her situation and his anticipatory care was exemplary. He was professional, knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher. He explained what he was going to do, what he was doing and always checked on her status and if she needed anything. He was patient in his care and one evening at the end of his shift my partner needed an urgent intervention - he provided that care - carefully and with care - understanding how scary the situation was. Andrew had a calm and confident demeanor and was clearly respected by the team. He kept the PA/NPs informed of her status and I felt confident that she would receive the care she needed and would be safe when Andrew was on.
