Angela took the time to speak with my father after her shift was over. She asked about his family and shared about any similarities with hers. When my father was moved and we could not find all of his belongings, she took the time to go to the 4th floor to find out what things he checked in with. She then came up to the 6th floor to report that all items he checked in with were transferred with him to ICU and onto the 6th floor. Even though my father died, it was good to know that someone took a personal interest in him as well as giving him good medical care. Angela’s interest in her patient as a person was very evident to the entire family. Dying patients could easily be disregarded but Angela did not do that. She is a DAISY Nurse for her kind and thoughtful care of my father. We did eventually find the missing belongings we had overlooked.
