Angie listens to their concerns, gives them her full attention when speaking to them, and is an overall positive light.
Angie has been part of the nursing team at Monument Behavioral Health Center for a short amount of time but has made a huge impact on all our patients and with her coworkers. Angie brought to my attention some discrepancies in documentation, and after reviewing we found many small improvements that have been forwarded to our administration for correction and updates. These improvements will allow us to better care for our patients and keep them safe while in our care.
Angie understands the barriers to care for our patients and goes above and beyond to make our patients feel welcome and well taken care of. She listens to their concerns, gives them her full attention when speaking to them, and is an overall positive light. On the days when our staff feel worn out and stressed, Angie is there with jokes, sincerity, and the willingness to help with anything needing to be done. I've seen her help by taking out the trash, getting meds for another nurse from a different floor, covering breaks, even filling water cups for patients! There's nothing Angie hasn't done to care for our patients.
Angie is so passionate about her work as an RN and commits herself to caring for all our patients. I have had many patients mention to me Angie's kindness and have said they feel completely comfortable telling her about their concerns or questions, knowing if she doesn't have the answer, she'll ask someone and follow up with the patient. I have the utmost respect for Angie, and I can honestly say, without her recognizing the discrepancies, our patients would not be getting the quality of care that Angie so much embodies as an RN. Angie is a true DAISY Nurse.
