Anita impressed me as someone who is not only smart but extremely compassionate and caring.
It is often hard to put into words how kindness and caring are innate to a person, and just spill out of them without them even being seemingly aware. My stepson was having an extensive surgical procedure. He is 17 years old. Anita was his RN in Same Day Services. She impressed me as someone who is not only smart but extremely compassionate and caring. She took the time to listen to our son’s concerns, as well as his dad's and my worries - and she went above and beyond making sure our questions were asked and answered. She explained everything she was doing (e.g., inserting the IV, etc.), and came to give us updates on the process. These may seem like small things on a day-to-day basis - but surgeries on your child are hopefully a once-in-a-lifetime experience and Anita made sure that we were well attended to as a family. She is an asset to WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital and a wonderful patient experience ambassador.
