Anne Machay, RN

On her day off, Anne was driving with her parents and children when she witnessed an MVA involving a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was unconscious, on the ground, and had a clear head injury as his head was covered in blood. Acting alone, Anne initiated CPR and continued to resuscitate the patient for 40 minutes while waiting for EMS to arrive. The man was airlifted to a trauma center nearby. Anne later received information from the family of the man that he was awake and seemed to be doing well despite the severity of the accident. Anne is a real-life super-hero!
