I came to this hospital severely medically compromised. I was frustrated, scared and helpless. Annie was one of the nurses that made me feel worthy and that I mattered. She was always attentive to my physical needs as well as my emotional needs. She never pushed me and gave the same support and dedication to all of the patients. I had to have a procedure done and she sat with me for the prep and walked me through it. When I wanted to give up she continued to encourage me. She listened to me gripe, complain, cry and shared some laughs. She has a way about her that makes me want to keep trying and offers hope. My stay here has been rough until this point, but having her here to be efficient, compassionate and validating, while also being honest and loving has made those hard days a little easier. Annie is one of the reasons I continue to stick it out. I am so grateful to have had her on my journey.
