Every so often you bump into an angel on earth. Being in the hospital for the first time in my life at 68 years of age with what turned out to be, for me, overwhelming and many times wanting to be overcome with emotion or the desire to panic. In walks Annie, to calm me down, listen to me, give encouragement, take the time, and provide care. She settled me and my family. I felt safe and cared for by someone who seemed to care so much each time she came in. What agift Bellin has in Annie and what a gift she has given me. Thank you!

Annie is an amazing nurse. She took such great care of my dad, always showing compassion and kindness in everything she did and said. You can tell she enjoys what she does and providing quality care to her patients. She was willing to go an extra mile for my dad. After hearing he didn't have much of an appetite, she went out of her way to find out his favorite snacks and ordered him pretzels. My dad always felt comfortable with her and knew he was in good hands when she was his nurse.
During a walk in the halls with my dad, he started to feel light-headed and dizzy. Annie wasn't even his nurse that day and responded quickly with a chair for him to sit on. She was calling telemetry to see if anything was abnormal, then wheeling him back to his room, getting him to bed, and checking his vital signs. She was very quick acting and showed her critical thinking skills.
After her last shift with him, she even left him a note wishing him luck with his recovery. Annie truly deserves the DAISY Award for the kindness and compassion she showed my dad and our family. Thank you Annie.
