April is a very strong and dedicated nurse. She directs the CNA's with a sure hand without being caustic. She handles multiple diverse situations with ease. The most recent incident that shows her strengths involves a newer resident with dementia and a psychiatric history. This resident was frequently striking out, refusing care, but more importantly, withdrawn and angry. She took time to work 1:1 with him; winning his trust. We are now able to care for this resident and he has been adjusting to the unit.
