I was in the hospital for 6 days. I'm a single mom of an 18-month-old and it was extremely tough for me to be away from my son for so long. I was an emotional wreck about it and on about the 4th day of being in the hospital, I had a slight episode, I demand that I somehow see my son that day. Well, April made that happen for me. I was on isolation so my son obviously couldn't come into my room but April assisted with a shower, then proceeded to thoroughly clean and disinfect the waiting room on the 6th floor, where my parents were able to bring my son to visit me for about an hour. It was just what we both needed and after our visit, it was much easier for me to focus on getting better to go home. April truly made my stay bearable. There are a couple of other reasons why I nominated her, but this one is unforgettable. Thank you!
