A 34-year-old female patient has been at the hospital for over a month. She also has a 5-month old baby at home. Arevik was assigned to be the Rapid Response nurse on this day. She recognized the patient may appreciate a small gesture like a manicure to help take her mind off everything she had been through. Arevik brought the nail polish from home and proceeded to give this patient a manicure with the supplies that were available in the ICU. She cleaned her nails and fingertips and since she was unable to trim her nails, so she filed them with an emery board.
