I recently gave birth to my rainbow baby. As a first time parent, I was nervous, scared, anxious, etc. I had 3 prior pregnancy losses (and had buried my first pregnancy, my daughter, due to her being born too soon), so needless to say the birth of my son was an emotional experience for me and my husband. During the time I was in the hospital, Ashley was assigned to my (and my son's) care.
I can't seem to find the words to accurately describe how incredible Ashley is. From the moment she introduced herself until the moment we were discharged, she had a smile on her face and a warmth in her heart! She truly made me feel like family. It didn't matter how big or small my requests were, Ashley always came to my aid and always reassured me. I knew no matter what, she had my back and would support me 100%. At one point, I was extremely overwhelmed and broke down, Ashley came to me with open arms and truly opened her heart to me. I don't think she knows the full impact she made on me, but I'll never forget her. I've had my fair share of medical care in my lifetime and have had many wonderful nurses and doctors- however only a few do I remember their name. I will always remember Ashley's name.
She is certainly one of the greats. If my husband and I are blessed to have another child in the future, I can only hope that we'd be assigned to Ashley again. I hope you never let her go!
